The Dogashima Tombolo, located on the Serahama Coast in Nishi-Izu, Shizuoka, is a natural phenomenon where a path appears during low tide, connecting the mainland to Sanshiro Island. This unique geological formation, one of only a few in Japan, allows visitors to walk across to the island. Be sure to check the tide schedule on the official website to plan your visit during low tide. Wear sturdy shoes as the path is rocky. A viewing platform offers excellent views, and parking is available nearby. The tombolo is best experienced between March and September.
