Hirabaru Historical Park in Itoshima City is the site of the Hirabaru ruins, believed to be the tomb of the Ito King from the Yayoi period. Excavations revealed numerous artifacts, including 40 bronze mirrors. Today, the park features the restored former Fujise family residence, a traditional Edo-era house. In autumn, cosmos flowers bloom, attracting many visitors. Around October 20th, the sunrise aligns with the Hiuga Pass, offering a glimpse into the ancient Ito Kingdom. The park is accessible by bus from JR Chikuzen-Maebaru Station and offers a serene atmosphere for exploring Japanese history and culture.
