Okawa Falls, one of Yakushima's largest waterfalls, plunges 88 meters down a cliff in the island's western region. Designated as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls, it boasts a wide cascade and abundant water flow. The falls are easily accessible, allowing visitors to get close to the basin. While impressive year-round, the falls are most powerful during the rainy season (June-July). Be cautious of slippery rocks near the basin. You can also find Okawa Coast near the waterfall parking lot.
