The Iichiko Hita Distillery offers a fascinating glimpse into the production of Iichiko shochu. Visitors can take a free tour to learn about the distilling process, from barley selection to fermentation, and even view vintage Iichiko commercials. The distillery also features beautifully maintained gardens that are especially stunning during the autumn foliage season. Don't miss the opportunity to sample and purchase distillery-exclusive shochu. Located a bit outside the city, it's best accessed by car. Open from 10:00 to 16:00, closed on Tuesdays, during Obon, and New Year holidays.
