Discover the hauntingly beautiful Sogi Power Plant Remains, a relic of Meiji-era industrial history. Built around 1909, this brick structure evokes the feel of a medieval European castle. The ruins are only visible when the water level of the Tsuruta Dam is low, typically from May to September. Note that the site sustained damage in 2021 and is currently undergoing restoration. The remains can be viewed from a distance at the Sogi Falls Park observation point, a short walk from the parking area. Be sure to check water levels before visiting to witness the ruins in their full glory.
*Please note that the site partially collapsed due to heavy rain in 2021 and is currently undergoing restoration work (completion date is yet to be determined). Originally constructed in 1909.
