Tsurumine Park is renowned as one of Central Japan's top azalea viewing spots, showcasing over 30,000 azalea bushes in vibrant hues of red, purple, pink, and white. Located in Okaya City, Nagano Prefecture, the park is easily accessible, just a 15-minute drive from Okaya IC or a 10-minute taxi ride from JR Okaya Station. The best time to visit is mid to late May when the azaleas are in full bloom, and the park hosts a lively festival. Originally part of Katakura Industries, the park offers stunning views and a memorable floral experience. Note that the paths can be muddy after rain.
