Iimori Shrine, located in Hakuba Village, Nagano Prefecture, is a historic Shinto shrine founded in the Eitoku era of the Nanboku-cho period by the Iimori clan. Dedicated to the water deity and Sugawara no Michizane, it's known as a place for praying for rain and snow. The shrine features sturdy architecture typical of snowy regions, including thick pillars and a wide, tiled roof with wooden doors. Visitors can easily access the shrine, which has a small parking area and a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by fields and forest. It's a great place to appreciate local history and culture after skiing at Hakuba 47 or visiting nearby Hasedera Temple.
