The Kinshuko Service Area, located near the border of Iwate and Akita prefectures along the Akita Expressway, offers a convenient rest stop for travelers. This highway oasis provides access from both directions and features a variety of local specialties from Iwate, Akita, and Miyagi. Visitors can enjoy quick meals such as Yokote yakisoba and tempura soba at the snack corner. The service area also includes a gas station, making it a practical stop for refueling and refreshments. Note that during winter months, the area may be heavily covered in snow.
