Jizo-in Temple

Overview

Jizo-in Temple, affiliated with the Tendai sect, is located near Hitoshi Jinja Shrine. This temple offers a serene escape with its beautiful autumn foliage, including vibrant red maple leaves and white camellias. Visitors can participate in a unique prayer ritual using a large rosary. The temple is easily accessible by taking the Showa Bus from JR Kanzaki Station (bound for Hirotaki, Mitsuse, or Sefuri Sanroku) and alighting at the Hireizan Jinja-mae stop, followed by a 5-minute walk. Special events and craft markets are occasionally held on the temple grounds, adding to its charm.
