Daikokuya is a traditional sweets shop located a 10-minute walk from Ichinoseki Station in Iwate Prefecture. Known for its local specialty, Zunda Mochi (sweet edamame paste rice cake), it offers a taste of the Tohoku region. In addition to sweets like Daifuku and Dango, the shop also serves light meals such as tempura udon and soba. The shop provides a casual, neighborhood atmosphere where visitors can enjoy a quick rest and a complimentary cup of tea. Be sure to visit during the afternoon to sample their popular Kakigori (shaved ice), especially refreshing on a hot day. Note that the restaurant section is open from 11:30 AM.
