Yakushima Lighthouse, built in 1897, stands on the tip of Nagata Cape, guiding ships returning to Japan from the south. This historic white lighthouse offers stunning views of the East China Sea and Kuchi-erabu Island. While the lighthouse interior is closed to the public, visitors can explore the grounds and enjoy the scenic coastline. The area is also a popular fishing spot. Access is via a narrow, winding road, approximately 60 minutes by car from Miyanoura Port. Visit on a clear day to fully appreciate the panoramic views.
