Located in Kotohiki Park in Kanonji, the World Coin Museum displays 2,000 currencies from Japan and around the globe. See the world's largest coin (a stone coin from Yap Island), Japan's oldest coin (Wado Kaichin), and commemorative coins from the Olympics and World Expos. Interactive exhibits include a display of what you can buy around the world for ¥500 and a game to guess the weight of a treasure chest full of coins. The museum is located within a roadside station where you can purchase local Kanonji products. Open daily except Mondays; admission is ¥300 for adults and ¥150 for children.
