Located near the Yumoto Onsen bus terminal in Okunikko, Nikko-san Yumoto Onsen-ji Temple is a unique temple where you can experience a hot spring bath. Originally founded in 788 by Shodo Shonin, the temple is associated with the discovery of the Yumoto Onsen hot spring. Visitors can enjoy the serene atmosphere, explore the adjacent Yuno-daira Marshland with its natural hot spring source, and even partake in a hot spring bath within the temple grounds (seasonal availability). The temple offers a tranquil escape and a chance to connect with the area's spiritual and natural history. Open from mid-April to late November, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
