Hina Dolls Festival

Inatori Onsen, a coastal hot spring town in Higashi-Izu, Shizuoka, is renowned for its century-old tradition of hanging Hina dolls, known as "tsurushi-bina." Each year from January 20 to March 31, the town hosts the Hanging Hina Doll Festival, featuring intricate handmade decorations displayed at venues like the Hina no Yakata exhibition hall and Susanoo Shrine, which boasts a 118-step tiered display—the largest of its kind in Japan. Visitors can also explore Sumihiroshi Temple, a serene site with a 750-year-old tree and tranquil gardens. Inatori Culture Park offers a relaxing footbath and showcases local crafts, making it a perfect spot to unwind after enjoying the town's cultural offerings
