This historic temple on Mount Rai is a renowned autumn leaf viewing spot, featuring a 400-year-old maple tree designated as a natural monument and over 200 maples in the Shinji Garden, a Muromachi-era creation. Peak foliage occurs from late October to mid-November, with the fallen leaves forming a vivid red carpet. The temple also houses significant cultural treasures, including statues of Kannon and other Buddhist figures, offering both natural beauty and historical significance.
