Historic Merchant Town

Kurayoshi, a historic merchant town in central Tottori Prefecture, is renowned for its Shirakabe Dozogun (White Wall Warehouses), a district of Edo- and Meiji-era buildings along the Tamagawa River, now housing shops, cafes, and galleries. The Kurayoshi Figure Museum, located in a repurposed circular school building, showcases a vast collection of figurines, including anime characters and dinosaurs, and offers interactive workshops.
