Pond Elegance

Omizuen is a serene daimyō garden in Ashimori, Okayama, created in the early 18th century by the Kinoshita clan. Designed in the Enshū-style, it features a central pond fed by the Ashimori River, adorned with Crane and Turtle Islands symbolizing longevity. The sukiya-style Ginpūkaku teahouse overlooks the pond, offering picturesque views, especially during cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons. Designated as a Place of Scenic Beauty by Okayama Prefecture, the garden is a tranquil spot for leisurely walks and photography. It's a 5-minute taxi ride from JR Ashimori Station
