Timeless Landscape

The Ishibu Rice Terraces in Matsuzaki, Izu Peninsula, feature around 370 Edo-period stone paddies spread over 4.2 hectares, offering views of Suruga Bay, Mount Fuji, and the Southern Alps on clear days. Once abandoned, the terraces were revived in 2000 and are now known for their seasonal beauty, especially the Candle Night in May when lanterns light up the fields. An observation deck provides a peaceful vantage point, with free parking nearby.
