Pilgrimage & Peace

Located in Kisarazu, Kōzō-ji is a historic Shingon temple dating back to the 6th century and known as the 30th stop on the Bandō 33 Kannon pilgrimage. Its 3.6-meter camphor-wood Kannon statue, once hidden from view, is now a highlight of the visit. The temple’s main hall and bell tower are cultural assets, and seasonal festivals offer a glimpse into traditional Buddhist practice.
