Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku, nestled in the mountains of Minakami, Gunma Prefecture, is renowned for its expansive open-air baths along the Takara River. Established in 1923, the ryokan offers four large rotenburo, including the 330-square-meter Kodakara bath, one of Japan's largest. Three of the baths are mixed-gender, with bathing suits provided, and one is women-only. Guests can enjoy the natural hot spring waters year-round, surrounded by seasonal beauty—from cherry blossoms in spring to snow-covered landscapes in winter.
