Vivid Red & White

Enzoji Temple, founded in 807, is one of Japan's three great Kokuzo temples, located on high ground by the Tadami River. In autumn, the temple's grounds are adorned with vivid red maples, beautifully contrasting with its historic white walls and stately buildings. The peak foliage season, from late October to early November, offers breathtaking views of the colorful leaves decorating the stone steps and Kokuzodo Hall.
