Floating Tracks

Perched above the emerald waters of Lake Sesso, Okuoikojo Station offers one of Japan’s most scenic railway views. Accessible via the Oigawa Railway’s Ikawa Line, the station appears to float amidst misty mountains, especially stunning during autumn foliage. Nearby, the Yume no Tsuribashi ("Dream Suspension Bridge") spans 90 meters over Oma Dam Lake, its vivid color resulting from the Tyndall effect. This narrow bridge allows only 10 people at a time and is a popular photo spot, particularly in fall. After crossing, visitors ascend 300 steps to Hiryu Bridge, completing a 90-minute loop trail through the serene Sumatakyo Gorge
