Crystal Clear Pond
Nestled in the forests of Tsunan, Ryugakubo Spring is a pristine pond fed by 43,000 tons of groundwater daily, ensuring its crystal-clear waters are completely refreshed each day. Recognized among Japan’s 100 Best Waters, the pond maintains a cool temperature year-round, creating a tranquil atmosphere complemented by surrounding beech and magnolia trees. A short walk from the parking area leads to a spot where visitors can taste the pure spring water. The site is steeped in local legend, believed to be the creation of a dragon spirit, and is honored with an annual festival each July. Accessible by car or taxi from Tsunan Station, Ryugakubo offers a serene retreat into nature.
