Serene Forest Retreat
Ryugaeshi Falls, located in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, is a picturesque 10-meter-high waterfall nestled within the lush forests of the Shinanoji Nature Trail. The name "Ryugaeshi," meaning "Dragon Turning Back," stems from local folklore suggesting that even dragons were deterred by the waterfall's force. Accessible via a moderate 1.4 km out-and-back trail, the waterfall is part of a popular trekking route that also includes the nearby Shiraito Falls.
