Haebaru, a town in Okinawa Prefecture, holds a special place in the history of Japanese tokusatsu as the hometown of Tetsuo Kinjo, the visionary screenwriter behind the original Ultraman, Ultra Q, and Ultraseven series. Kinjo's experiences growing up in Okinawa deeply influenced the themes of his work, infusing the Ultra Series with reflections on war, identity, and humanity. His former residence in Haebaru has been transformed into the Kinjo Tetsuo Museum, showcasing original scripts, production photographs, and personal artifacts that offer insights into his creative process.
